Andrea is a specialist in safeguarding children, particularly in position of trust and safeguarding within an organisational context. This includes safeguarding culture. Andrea possesses strong knowledge and experience at management and leadership level in the field of safeguarding having been a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) for almost 10 years. Andrea is also a member of the Association of Child Protection Professionals.
Some of Andrea’s professional successes include:

 Being part of the campaign to ensure that Position of Trust captures those within sports and religious settings.
 Being part of a task team who created the LADO Handbook with the Dept for Education in 2023.
 Leading a project between the CPSU and nationwide LADOs to ensure that sporting bodies are making appropriate safeguarding referrals.
